Review: New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS)

Publisher: Nintendo
Developer: Nintendo
Genre: Platformer
ESRB: E for Comic Mischief

STORY:
Pretty much the same as all other Mario games,
Peach gets kidnapped by Bowser (this time, with the help of the koopalings),
and the Mario Bros. must save her again. Pretty much the usual routine but this time
(like Super Mario 3D land went crazy with the Tanooki,) There's over a million
coins just ripe for the grabbing. (Makes Wario's fortune look small dosn't it?)

NOTE:
Long time fans will notice that the opening to NSMB2 pretty
similar to the opening to Super Mario World.

GAMEPLAY:
While it holds on to it's original Mario platforming, NSMB2's new (& old) items spice up
the trip. But expect to play trough the classic Mario experience you all know and love.
But on the other hand, Mario games have been getting a tad easy these days (mostly because of
the white tanooki suit), I think Nintendo is making it so non-gamers could play too. But, oh well.

CONTENT:
There's are 6 normal worlds and a collection of 3 special worlds making 9 worlds in total. Even know
it's not as massive as 3D Land's 16 worlds, It's still an enjoyable experience.

MODES:
Along with Single Player mode, People can also play the entire game simultaneously over local play!
It can be both irritating and fun at the same time. This time the screen revolves on Mario and I played it
with a friend (who is a pro) who kept leaving me in the dust. When your out of screen 2 things could happen:
1.You could get hit by a enemy or fall down a pit and die or 2. You turn into a bubble. Sadly, Option happens most often. I didn't get a chance to play Gold Rush mode, but a friend told me it was awesome, and he's beaten the game and is a pro at it so I gonna take his word on it.

FINAL VERDICT:
Lowest Score: 0.5 Highest Score: 10
STORY: 4.5
GAMEPLAY: 8.5
CONTENT: 8.0
MODES: 7
3D EFFECT: 5

OVERALL:
7.5
